Very rare Revolutionary War button. This is a locally manufactured USA button. It measures 24mm. slightly domed and borderless with thin lettering. These buttons are only found in South Carolina and used by them. This ine was found in Charleston. Cast pewter one piece with intact shank. Button has a great dark patina and solid. looks even better and smoother in hand. I only know of about 10 examples that have ever been found.
